Thomas Frank’s Brentford are set to go against Brazilian giants Benfica in a friendly game at the Estadio da Luz in Portugal.
The Bees announced their friendly with the Premeira Liga runner-ups slated to take place on July 25, at 8 pm. Thomas Frank’s squad have scheduled some friendly matches in Portugal, as the Bees prepare for the 2024-25 season. The high-profile test is a part of the Club’s training camp tour at Portugal, with some matches also slated to take place behind closed doors.
Brentford also announced that the club will play a private match behind closed doors against Portuguese Estrela de Amadora on July 30 as part of their training tour before the 2024-24 season.
The Bees will also face National League Sutton United behind-closed-doors friendly game sometime during July.
After returning from their Portugal tour, Brentford will face Watford and Wolfsburg on August 3 and August 9 respectively.
